TN: This is a translation of an existing fanfic, not written by me. In this story, Kim Jaejoong is Jung Yunho’s older brother; they are not related by blood since Jaejoong was adopted to the family at age of 15. There is an age gap of 10 between the two. Due to my laziness, I’m going to skip the first three chapters since not much is happening anyways, and give you a summary.

Summary of chapters 1-3

Yunho’s parents died the day he turned 8, that year Jaejoong was 18. When Jaejoong was adopted to the family he was 15, since that very day, little Yunho became his life. They’d stay together no matter where they went, no matter what they did. Yunho relied on Jaejoong a lot, in his little mind, Jaejoong was his best friend, his brother, sometimes perhaps a father figure. Yunho admired Jaejoong, in his heart, Jaejoong was the best and the most important person.

He once said: “Jaejoong will always be the most important, because Yunho loves you!”

But when his parents died, Yunho’s world fell into pieces. He was no longer the happy child he once was. All the family members had turned against him since he was the only rightful heir to their family business. To an 8 year old, his new life was scary and haunting. Because of these changes, Jaejoong became the only one who could comfort Yunho; he became even more important than before.

However, Jaejoong’s existence held another purpose other than taking care of Yunho. The only reason he was adopted into the family was that someday when he grew older, he could help Yunho with the Jung’s business. He was supposed to use his life to protect the Jung’s and Yunho.

With little choice, Jaejoong left the Jung’s and went to London to study business. Yunho refused to let go, he cried countless nights in Jaejoong’s arms, begging him not to leave. It was not them who had the right to choose, in the end, Yunho’s uncle forced Jaejoong to leave and told Yunho to stuff it up. With his parents gone, he was no longer a child; he had to learn to be strong and independent. No one would be with him forever because with his status, he was to expect a wealthy but lonely life…

8 years later, Jaejoong came back. Little after he came back, Yunho’s uncle had died of a heart attack. Before he left, he told Jaejoong to take care of Yunho. He said that Yunho had suffered a lot during these 8 years, he grew up but he was no longer smiling. He’s always had a sad and lonely expression, it was as if his heart had died and no one could walk into it…

The story starts here…

Chapter 4

“Jung, Yunho.”

Oh, he knew this person.

“Yun… Yunho, are you alright?” Junsu stared at Yunho’s sad but handsome face, he felt his heart beating uncontrollably, not knowing what he was doing, he stretched out his hand…

Another hand slapped it just in time, and then Yunho was held by another strong pair of arms.

Jaejoong locked Yunho tightly in his arms. He didn’t want anyone to touch his Yunho, not even his unrelated cousin.

“Jaejoong?” Yunho called his name weakly…

The little voice had sunk into his heart, suddenly Jaejoong felt warm, everything seemed so right…

“You didn’t loose everything!”

He could feel Yunho’s body trembling slightly…

Jaejoong raised his head to face the people standing in this room, they were all waiting for Yunho but instead he was here… he was here to protect him, forever and ever…

“Who the hell are you?” someone asked loudly.

“Kim Jaejoong!”

He could hear them gasping…

“I believe everyone understands that no one under the age of 18 shall inherit the Jung’s business.” Jaejoong said slowly.

“Of course we do!”

“Good… but there is something else you should know. Mr. Jung Yoohoon had given me the right to take over his company along with all his legal properties. I am now the rightful owner of The Jung’s.”

“What?” Junsu called out loudly, “that’s impossible. You are not even related to the Jung’s, you are lying!”

Jaejoong smirked, “look who is speaking, do you think you are in a better position, Junsu?”

Junsu stared at Jaejoong with hatred in his eyes, but no word escaped. Jaejoong was right, he, Kim Junsu, was not related to the Jung’s; he was merely a low life comparing to them…

“We are settled then, please leave this place as soon as possible. I will take Yunho back to his room, he needs rest.”

Under the soft moon light, a slim figure sat on the wooden chair, his bathrobe slipped off his shoulder slightly, revealing his chest, his two legs swung with a steady rhythm.

His face rising slightly, staring at the moonlight, an invisible golden silk seemed to be covering his feature, making everything mysterious.

I have nothing left…

“What do you mean by that?” another figure appeared next to the door.

“You heard me?” as if he knew he had been standing behind him, Yunho didn’t turn around.

“Without uncle, I’m all by myself from now on.” Yunho stared into the far distance, “uncle was the only reason… now he left me…”

“I’m sorry…”

“Why are you apologizing?” Yunho didn’t understand.

“I was not by your side when you were suffering…” he had promised to protect Yunho forever.

“It’s not a big deal…” Yunho smiled carelessly, “you are you, you have your own life, you don’t own me anything.”

“You used to whine in my arms, asking me why I left you. Yunho, you have changed.”

“We all have to learn to grow up right? If I want to survive in this place, I have to be strong, that’s what uncle told me.”

“Yunho…”

Yunho lowered his head, murmuring into the breezing wind…

“It was only uncle… all this time…”

Suddenly his slim figure was embraced into warmness, he held him tightly…

“Yunho, you still have me…” his voice held so much emotion, too much to express…

“You weren’t here back then…” Yunho didn’t want to be held by anyone, but he couldn’t get out of his arms, it was too tight…

Jaejoong sat down behind Yunho; slowly taking his whole figure into his territory. He tried to speak, but nothing could comfort the child who had suffered things beyond his age. He knew nothing he said could make a difference now.

Silent filled the air… for a long time…

“Don’t act in front of me…”

He begged him to stay true to him, only him…

“Don’t hide; don’t run away, in my heart, Yunho is just Yunho, my dear Yunho.”

Yunho couldn’t stop himself from turning around; to face him… he couldn’t understand… why?

In other’s eyes, Jung Yunho represented money and power, but Jaejoong told him: Yunho is just Yunho…

It had been 8 years; no one could understand his heart, his sadness and his sorrow. Every night, he could only cry under his blanket… until the day he could no longer cry…

He was surprised but happiness seemed to spread his body. He struggled, and then rather awkwardly, he hugged Jaejoong back…

“When you just left…”

His voice was shaking; Jaejoong lowered his head, trying to catch every word…

“Those years, I cried everyday, hoping you’d come back. Uncle never said anything until that one day… I was having a fever, I cried your names over and over again, refusing to get treated unless I saw you… uncle slapped my face and told me that I could no longer act like a child…”

“Was it painful?” he caressed his cheek…

“No…” Yunho smiled. “I lied… it was really painful… I stared at uncle with shock in my eyes, uncle only told me that I have to be strong, no matter what I did, you would not be back until the right time.”

Jaejoong held him closer, as if he was erasing the pain…

“Not long after, uncle got really sick… I had to start taking care of family business. I was only 11 that year… in the beginning, everyone turned against me, telling me that the Jung’s would die in my hands; I had no right to ruin my parents business. I’d cry every time they looked down on me, I almost went crazy… but luckily I got over it… they could no longer make me cry or make me yell… I could face everything now.”

Jaejoong closed his eyes…

“Later I understood that they only wanted to scare me, they wanted me to give up and hand them everything. I was too little, they thought if they made me cry, I’d feel scared and give them what they wanted… thanks to them, I can no longer cry now…”

A warm hand touched his face and wiped off his tears… it was then Yunho realized he had been crying…

He couldn’t breathe… it has been 5 or 6 years since he last cried… he simply forgot how to cry… no one was there to share his tears…

Yunho bit his hand and cried silently…

“Yunho, let it out, I want you to hear you cry! You still have me!”

“Jaejoong…”

“Yunho, in front of me, you can cry, you can be a child, you can be weak… in front of me, don’t be scared, don’t hide yourself…”

His mellow voice filled the air, he’s so gentle…

Yunho started crying… with all his might. This is different; this is the first time he had felt that…

His Jaejoong is back!

That night, Yunho cried hard in Jaejoong’s arms. It has been 8 years since he was held like this, cared like this… it has been too long…

Jaejoong sighed to himself yet again, and walked into the house he left several days ago…

Though he was the president of the Jung’s and had all the rights to enter this house, he didn’t want to bring any trouble to Yunho.

He remembered telling Yunho to take care of himself before he left.

“Yunho, eat well and sleep well, don’t worry about anything.”

But…

After receiving the call from his house keeper, Jaejoong rushed over here…

“Master Jaejoong, you are here!” Changmin opened the gate for Jaejoong.

“What happened?” Jaejoong’s brows furrowed.

“Master Yunho hasn’t slept for days.” Changmin said, “After his uncle passed away, master Yunho hadn’t slept well. Master Yunho liked to wear white clothing, sometimes when I woke up in the middle of the night, I could see a white figure flying inside the mansion… it nearly scared my life away…” Changmin inhaled shapely, recalling the scary feeling he had had when he saw his master…

“Where is he?” Jaejoong asked.

“In the backyard.” Changmin led Jaejoong to the backyard, and then walked away yarning, thinking that he’d have a good sleep tonight.

8 years ago, Jaejoong had often held Yunho to sleep, his lack of security had cost him countless sleepless nights; Jaejoong was the only one comforting him until he closed his eyes.

He stared at the white and slim figure, his brows furrowed again.

“Aren’t you cold?” he spoke.

“I’m okay.” Yunho turned around; a light smile appeared onto his face.

Jaejoong walked closer and kneeled in front of him.

“Can’t sleep?”

“Yea.” Yunho nodded honestly.

“Come…” Jaejoong stretched out his arms…

Yunho stared at his hands, feeling a little uncomfortable. He had never enjoyed body contact; this had been his habit for the past 8 years. But… but…

This is Jaejoong! The Jaejoong who had stayed with him when he was 5, 6 and 7; the Jaejoong who told him “in my eyes, Yunho is just Yunho”.

He shouldn’t distant him because of his old habit; Jaejoong is the only one he has now. He should treasure his embrace. It’s been a while since anyone treated him this way…

Yunho felt a little shy, feeling rather awkward, he walked closer to Jaejoong and hugged him.

“Do you miss your uncle?” Jaejoong hugged Yunho closer, trying to warm him up.

“I do.”

Suddenly he laughed; his laughter filled his ears, his lonely heart…

“What are you laughing at?” Yunho didn’t understand but his laughter had made him less embarrassed.

“You used to hold me like this when you were 8 years old, you haven’t changed a bit.”

“I remember too.” Yunho smiled along. He remembered the warmth back then, the Jaejoong who cared for him more than himself.

“I got used to you lying in my arms, after I went to London, it felt so empty without you.” He half joked next to Yunho’s ear.

“I couldn’t sleep for a long time either. We are even now!” Yunho yarned.

“Feeling sleepy?”

“En…” he rubbed his eyes… it felt so warm, this place felt so warm…

“I will take you back to your room.” Jaejoong smiled, he stood up while carefully holding Yunho’s body.

“Jaejoong, don’t leave…” Yunho held Jaejoong tighter and snuggled his body closer.

Jaejoong sighed, “Do you want to live with me for a while?”

“Okay…” he relaxed upon receiving this offer, not long he fell into a deep slumber.

Jaejoong kissed his forehead lightly, still holding him; he walked out of the gate, disappearing into the dark night.

Ever since that day, Yunho had been living with Jaejoong.

Every morning, Yunho would wake up in Jaejoong’s arms, and then Jaejoong would cook breakfast for both of them. It had been a long time since Jaejoong last entered the kitchen, but he’d do anything to take care of his Yunho.

After breakfast, it was time to send him to school, and then he’d go to work.

Jaejoong massaged his temple and sighed.

“Tired?” Yoochun walked into the office, winking to Jaejoong’s secretary on the way.

“You look pretty free…”

“Ahh, boss, I’m on my break time is all. You are the boss, how can I be free? Hehehe…”

“Well, I can give you a lot of free time if you want.”

“No, Mr. Boss Kim Jaejoong, I don’t want free time, I love LOVE working for you! It’s my pleasure!”

“Shut up!”

Yoochun wiped his forehead and signaled the secretary to get a couple of coffee for his dear boss. Free time? He doesn’t want to be fired…

“Jaejoong boss, I’m very useful at times… remember I went out with that girl for you last time?”

“I had to go home and cook for Yunho.” Jaejoong said naturally.

My god! The president of Jung wanted to give up his free time and cook for his Yunho. Will he ever have time for girls?

“Personally I think Yunho is my only priority!” there he goes again…

This man only needs his Yunho and nothing else…

He’s hopeless…

“Yoochun, I hope I miss heard you, you did not just say I’m hopeless right?”

Opps, he had said it… out loud…

“No, of course not boss, you are the best boss!” Yoochun made a run, the more he stayed, the more trouble he’d get himself in.

Jaejoong leaned against the back of his chair and sighed again. Why did Yoochun and everyone else think it was weird to go home to Yunho immediately after work? He had to because he didn’t want Yunho to feel lonely. It had been so long since they separated. He was all he’s got and besides it was his wish to protect Yunho forever.

Yunho is getting better now. He was no longer acting in front of him; he would smile when he was happy, pout when he felt injustice and even hug him when he was feeling cold or lonely.

He wanted to hold Yunho into his arms, it was as if he was the happiest man on earth, it was as if he was holding his significant other…

Wait… what was he thinking?

As if he was holding his significant other…

Pong, Jaejoong felt his head exploding; he dropped the pen onto the table and his hand started shaking slightly…

No, that’s not right… that’s impossible…
